About us
Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute was borne out of a passionate dream by the founder, Afolabi Andu. Afolabi had a vision of an annual event where Nigerians from all walks of life can be honoured and celebrated globally for their great feats. This dream finally became a reality in the year 2000 when the Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute was set up. The Institute’s first event was The Nigerian Achievers Awards ceremony hosted on the 1st October 2000 to commemorate Nigeria’s fortieth Independence. Today the Institute operates as an Awards body established to license and host Nigerian awards programmes in different parts of the world. The Institute is run by a management board responsible for the approval of awards and also advising on highly technical aspects related to the Institute’s activities. In 2017, the Institute formally approved the title of Nigerian British Awards as the brand name to represent the United Kingdom awards programme whilst in the same vein, a formal approval was also issued for the Nigerian American Awards in the year 2018.
