About Us
22 Years Of celebrating Nigerian Achievers
Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute was borne out of a passionate dream by the founder, Afolabi Andu. Afolabi had a vision of an annual event where Nigerians from all walks of life can be honoured and celebrated globally for their great feats. This dream finally became a reality in the year 2000 when the Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute was set up. The Institute’s first event was The Nigerian Achievers Awards ceremony hosted on the 1st October 2000 to commemorate Nigeria’s fortieth Independence.
History
The Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute was established in the year 2000, to celebrate Nigeria’s fortieth Independence anniversary. The inaugural event was held on the first of October 2000 at the Hilton Hotel Olympia under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Oluyemi Osinbajo, the then Attorney General of Lagos State. On that occasion, about twenty Nigerians were recognised and duly honoured with a merit award.
